The Bali Cottage at Kehena Beach Hawaii

 The Bali Cottage was built and completed it on May 2009,  great care was taken during the planning & construction to capture the perfect Trade Winds and Ensure  a dramatic Oceanfront view.  Many imported, natural  and renewable woods were used to built the cottage as well as  attention detail and craftsmanship. Feng Shui  in mind and the Elemental Design are one of the few features the Cottage offers. Our inspiration was our Main House that was built in Bali and re-constructed back  in Hawaii in 2004.

The Bali Cottage is a private 2 story, single bedroom, single bath Balinese GuestHouse, with over 680 sq. ft. of indoor living and over 300 sq. ft. of outdoor living space.  We catch our own rain water, grow our own fruits and some vegies. We never us pesticides, we recycle and compost what we can. The cottage  stands alone with no other Guest's around. It comes complete with top of line amenities & furnished with authentic Eastern decor. A fusion of Hawaiian and Eastern cultures make up this very unique cottage.  The cottage is surrounded by lava rock walls, bamboo fencing and beautiful lush tropical gardens overlooking the breathtaking oceanfront cove of Kehena.  Our part of the Island enjoys beautiful sunny weather, as the tradewinds are constant and it mainly rains at night. Our average rainfall is only 60-80 inches per year! It is green and lush with the average temperature year round  in the low 60's to high's at 78-86 degrees. Winter months are around 50-75 degrees.

 We are located right off 137 or red road, centrally located to all coastal activities such as snorkeling, surfing, hot ponds, hiking, fishing, boating, Lava tours, yoga center, small convenient store, casual dining and Kava Bar at Kalapana-Kaimu Beach.  Kehena Black Sand Beach is located only 200 ft. away, and the nearby lava ocean entry point from Kilauea is only a 6 min. drive. The town of Pahoa is a short 15 min. drive for shopping, restaurants, health food stores, banks, post office and local farmers markets.

The Main house where we live is located behind the cottage on the mountain side about 50 ft. away, the property is divided in half  and our guest enjoy their own private garden, hot tub, patio, Bbg grill, hammock and more. The cottage faces the front overlooking the oceanfront and the cliff edge is only 70 ft away.  The only thing we share is parking. Our grown children have left the nest, and we work from home. We offer onsight hospitality and are always available for any of our Guest's needs!
